Ease of BeingMeditation Class When: Ongoing Monday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00pm Cost: $15.00 Where: 63 Vendola Drive, San Rafael, CA 94903 For information: (415) 479-2027 This class introduces three types of meditation: shamatha (calming the mind while focusing on an object, such as breath), vipassana (insight), and open awareness (allowing everything equal focus through relaxation). Beginning with a 10 to 20 minute gentle "shamatha" meditation at the start of each class, which facilitates the group's cohesiveness, one is encouraged to relax cognitive perception so that a more body-centered ease of being can be experienced and cultivated. This ease of being is discovered through the cultivation of becoming aware of the physical sensations and feelings within the body. Direct perception and experiential insight through sensation is practiced in the head, heart and hara (abdominal area) as well as all other areas of the whole body. This meditation class is an invitation to relax from mental constructs and ideas in order to experience a more intimate connection with the body and moment to moment awakened presence. This will involve breathwork, movement, guided navigation into the body, dialogue and silent sittings. In our group gatherings, a loving, supportive and nurturing space is always offered for our practice. Our time together will be enjoyable, relaxing and will greatly support your psychological and spiritual development. Facilitated by Dr. Sara Kendall Gordon, L. Ac., DAOM Dr. Sara Kendall Gordon, L. The spiritual teacher, Adyashanti, gave her the name Pralaya, meaning stillness, and she assisted him for five years as student and teacher. She has been certified by Charles Ridley in Biodynamic Cranial Touch and by Judith Blackstone, PhD. to teach the Embodiment Training of the Realization Process. After intensively training for many years with Neil Steven Cohen, founder of Psycho-Spiritual Integrative Awakening, he asked Sara to teach his work. These classes are the result of her heart's response to his request. |

"Sara Kendall Gordon has studied the work of Psycho-spiritual Integrative Awakening with me personally and within the context of numerous professional group trainings. Her heartfelt sincerity and dedication has been most outstanding. Above all, her willingness to apply, integrate and take responsibility for these teachings, in relation to her own psychological and spiritual development, is truly the most important part of the certification process for this work and what makes for an excellent, well-trained facilitator. I fully endorse and feel confident in Sara's ability to effectively and lovingly support her clients in the psychological and spiritual development required for the path of awakening. "
